It’s the most wonderful time of the year…and if you’re a packing and shipping company it’s one of the busiest. Boston Pack and Ship would like to take a moment to thank everyone who’s trusted us to make sure their holiday packages are shipped with care. Now we’re down to the wire. If you need a package to be at a certain destination by Sunday December 24th or Monday December 25th, you’ll need to keep these dates in mind.
Shipping with USPS? Today is the last day for Priority Mail. If you choose Priority Mail Express, December 22nd (FRIDAY) is the cut off. Bear in mind that the Priority Mail Express money back guarantee only applies if the shipment was not delivered within 2 business days.
Shipping with UPS? Today is the last day to ship UPS 2nd day air. Starting tomorrow, 2nd and Next Day Air Delivery service is available; packages must be labeled for Saturday delivery. If you’re in a metro area, you may be able to ship packages in the city on the same day, but the availability of this service is limited. There are no pickups or deliveries from UPS on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, although Express Critical service is available.
Shipping with FedEx? For delivery on December 23rd, choose FedEx First Overnight®, FedEx Priority Overnight®, and FedEx 2Day®. Saturday delivery must be selected. A $16 Saturday delivery fee will apply per package. FedEx Same Day delivery is available 365 days a year.
Please bear in mind that while all of the delivery companies do their very best to ensure holiday packages arrive on time and in good condition, extreme weather events and other disruptions can delay shipments. With that in mind, you’ll want to ship your packages as soon as possible. If at all possible, come visit your pack and ship company in Massachusetts today or tomorrow to ensure no one is disappointed on Christmas Day.
