DATELINE:  BRAINTREE, MA…After more than two decades as a strategic partner to many area movers, known particularly for their expertise in packing and shipping small loads and delicate items, Joe Fell and Bill Yankee, owners of The Packaging Store in Braintree, thought the days of being referred to as the “new guys” were long over. Yet when The Packaging Store franchise merged with another company, it freed the two packing and shipping vets from their franchise agreement and ironically put them in the position of repackaging themselves with a new name, Boston Pack and Ship.

“Over the years, we’ve crafted a pretty strong niche among both commercial and residential customers for our ability to pack and ship those hard-to-pack and delicate items you wouldn’t necessarily send through an overnight service but you also wouldn’t hire a traditional mover for either,” said Joe Fell, co-owner of Boston Pack and Ship. “While it will take some work to get used to the new name, not being part of a franchise removes some restrictions which will allow us to provide even better service.”
