David is a military veteran who returned home to Boston without any plans for his life. A chance encounter led him to take a silver smithing class. A passion was born, and today, David creates historically accurate replicas of silver drinking vessels, serving dishes, candlesticks and more. “It’s definitely a niche business,” he says with a laugh, “but it’s grown to the point where I have customers all over the world – in Europe, which I’d expected, and increasingly, in China and Japan.”
While David is skilled at creating beautiful silver, he shuts down when it comes to the complexities of packaging and shipping his products internationally. “I think about how many hours goes into creating a piece, and then imagine it getting damaged or lost, and it’s totally overwhelming,” he said. “That’s why I looked for an international shipping company in Boston who can handle everything for me.”
Boston Pack and Ship provides specialty packing services. This means we have the experience to properly package delicate, high value items like silver steins -and more common items, like electronics, glassware, and collectibles – safely and securely. We use the strongest cardboard shipping cartons available, as well as high quality packing materials selected specifically for the item being shipped.
The other aspect of international shipping is choosing the right freight carrier and making sure all paperwork is completed fully and accurately. Especially for high value items, customs declarations and other forms must be accurate or shipments may be delayed or even returned. In instances where you have a customer eagerly waiting for their custom order, delays are unacceptable. That’s why we go above and beyond to ensure our international shipping customers have nothing to worry about. We provide end to end package tracking, a suite of insurance coverage options, and more, to make your life easier.
