Some people are thrilled beyond belief that the Olympics may be held in Boston in 2024. I am not one of those people. Having already lived in one Olympics-occupied city (Atlanta, 1996) I’ve absolutely no intention of going through that experience again – especially now that we live in a post-9/11, post Boston marathon bombing world. The increased traffic, construction and security measures will make everyday life in the city unbearable.
My personal plan? Move somewhere, anywhere, else for the duration of the games, including the year plus pre-games construction phase and months of clean up and reconfiguring that will happen after the athletes have all gone home.
I’m not sure exactly where I’m going to go – there’s a little time to line up the right contract position – but I do know what Boston moving company I’m going to use. Boston Pack and Ship has been there every time for me when I’ve needed to relocate, including two moves within the city and one short-term, long-distance contract that had me working in Paris for a year.
The reason Boston Pack and Ship is my favorite Boston mover is simple: they make the process entirely stress free. As you may have guessed, I like my life simple and free of complications. That’s what Boston Pack and Ship delivers. I tell them where I need my stuff to go, and they handle the rest: packing shipping boxes, custom building wooden shipping crates as needed, transporting my stuff and even getting it set up in my new place. Unlike a lot of Boston movers, Boston Pack and Ship never charges a minimum load size – which is great news if you like saving money!
I’ll be using Boston Pack and Ship to move out of town long before the Boston games. If you need an honest, reliable moving company that knows how to handle both domestic and international moves, you’ll want to choose Boston Pack and Ship as well!
