“The only thing you really have in this life are your memories,” Steven said. “The moments you remember for years and years – in my case, 87 years!” At this point in his life, Steven is downsizing in preparation of moving in with his oldest daughter in Boston. “I’m only keeping the most important things,” he said. “All the rest I’m sending to my children and grandchildren so they can enjoy them.”
Shipping Artwork from the South Shore
Steven had been collecting artwork for years. He has many large format photographs and paintings. Shipping artwork can be challenging, especially when the artwork is particularly large. “I’m very worried about damage,” Steven said. “Paintings are irreplaceable because they’re one of a kind.”
Protect your artwork by choosing your South Shore Shipping Store to handle shipping your paintings, photographs, and other artwork. Here at Boston Pack and Ship, we offer custom crating service – ideal for paintings. Specially built wooden shipping crates offer the ultimate in protection, keeping your paintings safe from the hazards of shipping. For smaller pieces, our stout cardboard shipping boxes may be the wiser choice: we’ll work closely with you to pick the right packing method for your fine artwork.
“I have to admit to being a bit of a control freak. When you’ve lived as long as I have, you know that anything that can go wrong eventually will go wrong,” Steven said. “So sending all of my paintings and artwork to my family is kind of nerve-wracking.”
Alleviate the anxiety that comes with shipping fine artwork from the South Shore with our full range of tracking and insurance coverage options. “I really like being able to keep an eye on the paintings while they’re in transit. You just go on the computer, and the latest information is there, waiting for you,” Steven said. “A little mystery in life is not a bad thing, but when it comes to shipping, you don’t want any mysteries!”
