October 13, 2010 by admin

There are lots of things to love about Boston -- the people, the culture, the Red Sox and Patriots -- but there's one thing that can make life a little challenging.  Yes, we're talking about that infamous Boston traffic.  Factor in the maze of narrow one-way streets, roundabouts, and drivers who are paying more attention to their Blackberry than the road and you can see why moving in Boston is … [Read more...]

Shipping Fine Art and Antiques

September 30, 2010 by admin

Fine art and antiques are among our most treasured possessions. The furniture that has served our families for generations, lovingly cared for year after year, passed on from mother to daughter, father to son; the objects we’ve discovered on long drives through the Massachusetts countryside, poking into tiny little shops; paintings that move us, sculptures that express emotion in three dimensions … [Read more...]

Should You Build Your Own Shipping Crates?

September 9, 2010 by admin

A box is a box is a box, right? You've got a top and a bottom, four sides and room inside for your stuff. There's nothing complicated about a box -- and a shipping crate is just a big box, right? Well, actually, wrong.  Completely and totally wrong.  That's why we were recently dismayed by this Washington Post article in which it's suggested that a mover could construct their own shipping … [Read more...]

Boston Packaging and Shipping Companies: Who Can You Trust

September 3, 2010 by admin

In great affairs men show themselves as they wish to be seen; in small things they show themselves as they are. Nicholas Chamfort penned these words at the end of the 18th century, yet they remain true today - and no where do we see this more than in the packaging and shipping industry. So much energy goes into creating an appearance and image -- and hardly any effort is given to the task of … [Read more...]

That’s why new moving scams involving “guaranteed” quotes, packing materials and moving size measurements have created a raging inferno. How … [Read more...]

The leased we can do…Boston Pack and Ship safely returns leased equipment

February 8, 2010 by admin

Leasing computers, copiers and other office equipment provides a very attractive option for many small- to mid-sized companies. Besides price, leasing gives businesses an opportunity to upgrade equipment without a long-term commitment—or remove units if a company has downsized. When a lease expires, however, the responsibility of shipping the equipment back to the leasing company falls on the … [Read more...]

"My mother was living in a retirement community in Massachusetts. After she passed, there were three groups of items that needed to go to three different locations. One of those groups contained a large china cabinet. This had much sentimental value for me but it needed refinishing before having it shipped to my home in Virginia. I was referred to Boston Pack and Ship. They advised me to ship it directly to a refinisher to save me from having to move the cabinet one more time. Boston Pack and Ship stored the china cabinet while I searched for a refinisher near my home. Long story short, I found a refinisher here in Virginia and Boston Pack and Ship prepared the china cabinet for delivery. It arrived safe and sound to the refinisher on schedule who said it was ‘beautifully wrapped and protected'. I can't thank Bill and Boston Pack and Ship enough for their help in getting my china cabinet to me safely. Most importantly, they were caring and patient at a difficult time in my life."

I used Boston Pack and Ship to send an antique piece of furniture from Boston to Sedona, AZ. I can't say enough about their service and the quality of the packing. Item arrived on the day they said it would and was in pristine condition. Easy to work with and great customer service. Highly recommend.

I hired Boston Pack and Ship to move two items from my storage unit in the Boston area to my home in Florida. Gene Sullivan was 110% responsive. He picked up the items on time, packed them expertly; and they arrived in perfect condition about ten days after pick up. I could not ask for better service. Five stars is not enough!

We at Casey Movers do not hesitate to refer our customers to this business for shipments we do not think we are best suited for (smaller inter-state shipments under 3,000lbs, etc). Have had great feedback from clients that have utilized this service. Thank you from all at Casey Movers for providing top notch service and have a great new year!
